Versus hiring it yourself

A single junior-to-mid IT support hire in the UK costs roughly £26,500–£32,000 in salary. Add employer National Insurance, pension contributions and basic kit, and the real cost to the business is closer to £32,000–£38,500 a year. That's for one person, covering business hours only, with no cover for holidays or sick days, and rarely any dedicated security expertise.

How this is worked out

The three tier figures are our actual published pricing, not a marketing estimate — Essential, Standard and Complete at £40, £65 and £95 per user per month. The in-house comparison uses current UK salary data for an IT support technician role, plus a standard allowance for employer National Insurance and pension contributions. It's a fair, like-for-like comparison, not a scare tactic — sometimes an in-house hire genuinely is the right call, particularly above roughly 40–50 staff.

Why the gap exists at smaller team sizes

Below that size, a single in-house hire is expensive per head and has no redundancy — if they're on holiday or leave, you have no IT support at all. Outsourced support spreads a wider skill set (helpdesk, security, infrastructure, strategy) across many clients, so a small team gets access to more than one person's worth of expertise for less than one person's salary.
